the softest I’ve ever been

SOLD

“The Softest I’ve Ever Been” is one of a three-part series that is an exploration of balance and boundaries, adaptability and acceptance. In this work, I am using color blocks, gritty brushstrokes, and fluid shapes to explore the tension I feel between the gentleness and peace I crave for my life and the drive I have for achievement and perfection. Each piece is named for a poem by the poet Amy Turn Sharp, who captures this feeling so magically.

24x36” acrylic and collage (fabric and paper) on canvas, sealed with satin varnish. It is framed in a custom-made, modern, raw maple frame for final dimensions of 25x37x2”. Hanging hardware is installed on the back.
